ARGON Synthesizer App Reviews

good app.

This is a wonderful little synthesizing app. I just wish I could decide which way it was oriented. It is kind of awkward with my headphone out right where my hand is going to be.

Amazing power and sound in your pocket

I highly recommend this app to everyone. I am a professional sound designer, and I am telling you, this one is the best synthesizer app you can have in terms of flexibility, ease of use and sound quality. I have used it extensively on many commercial projects... So amazing that this kind of power is right in your pocket!

Argon! The future of mobile synthesis.

Solid Synth from a innovative dev. Thanks!

Nice

This has good sounds and a good interface. Worth the money their charging.

Miffed

Yes, slightly miffed xenon is not an upgrade of this. Now I have to buy again.

Worth it!

Great sound, slick interface, pasteboard & export features...solid application.

Saaaweet!

I have enough music apps now that I know a good one when I see it and this one is very cool. Its cheep to, I dont regret this purchase. +=]

Quite good, almost

Its great and all, but virtually useless without support for playing chords. I cant play more than one key at a time.

Great App

But it seems like the saving is somehow messed up? I have loops saved on all 8 slots, and if I want to save a new loop over one of the eight, the previous loop is still there. Good update! Some cool presets.

Fantastic

All the sounds I need in the presets and tons of control to create more! This synth sounds GREAT!!!

Best synth untill now

This app is the most "under rated" app of all time. For me its the best synth ever. Add polyphony and I will be dancing in my underwear

Needs update

I have an iPhone 4 ios 4.2.1 and it does not work. There is no sound and the retina display is not supported as seen by the ugly pixelation. Needs update asap. Also I think it needs polyphony to play chords

DOPE!

This is a very powerful app, for $2. And no need to buy addons. Some you have to pay extra to get a sequencer of storage options. Not with this. You get it all. Export to Beatmaker? "yes plz" lots of fun. A+++

Great synth!

I love the tone of this synth and its a blast to play.

Fantastic, simply perfect.

This synth is great monosynth for one handed use and a well trained ear. For $2 this is a great app. Any additions to it would be a bonus!

Inspired and Inspiring Synth

As someone who already has (and really likes) Nlog Synth and NanoStudio, I wasn’t too sure if I needed another VA synth app, but for $1.99 I figured I’d give Argon a shot. Wow, was I impressed! Argon’s sounds are fantastic (particularly the newly added Sinevibes bank) and are truly inspiring for songwriting or just jamming. The loop function is great for on the fly layering of parts. My only wish with that function would be a way to edit what was already recorded. One fat finger mistake and you have to rebuild the whole loop with all its layers from scratch (unless I’m missing something). The one thing that is currently keeping Argon from being a dream synth app for me is the lack of support for the Akai Synthstation25. If this functionality were to be added, it would turn this app into a true professional performance synth. Even still, the rich sounds and $1.99 price point earn this app 5 stars.

Awesome but...

This would be top dog if they added akai synthstation 25 support. That the only reason its not 5 stars yet. I love this app please synthstation 25 support

Too Much Fun

Great App !!!! The new loop recorder is sweet and the exported WAV files plug into my DAW (Sony Acid Pro) beautifully. Great job gang.

Powerful

I love this app. Ive never owned an analog synth, but this is like having a VST in my pocket. I can literally make patches on this and copy them into presets on my VSTs. Or use the loop recorder and transfer the synth sounds as WAVs. One feature that would be nice is a legato mode.

Great App, needs MIDI support

Please update to include MIDI support. I love my Line6 MIDI Mobilizer. Theyre inexpensive, tiny and way more flexible than the Akai Synthstation. I can use it with all my full size MIDI keyboards, or my small battery operated M-Audio Oxygen. If you looking at the Akai, buy this interface instead and the tiny keyboard of your choice. When you can use your favorite synth apps with real keyboards with your band instead of just a toy keyboard, still for very little cost, youll thank me later.
